Ah ha!!! I don't think I have seen a model of a B-29 painted green yet. I know the first ones were painted, not sure how many went operational that way. Funny how it takes a lot more effort to make a model look like unpainted aluminum then it does to actually paint it! Keep up the good work!

there was one i seen on flightsim.com

the guy at the model place try to talk me into paintin it like all the other B-29s i dont like to do the same old looking B-29 like everyone does lol :d

My father was a CBI pilot and flew one of the 5 green ones over. His was the Monsoon Goon, but it was unmarked, not like the decals that are sold, I showed him pictures of that model and he had no idea where they came up with the markings. Unfortunately he didn't have any pictures of that particular plane, but had some of the later "Goons" he flew. Pictures of one of them can be seen on the 444th bomb group site, unfortunately they were taken before it had the impressive show of missions on the side. Also the 676th squadron logo (the Dragon chucking bombs) was at the front of plane right behind the greenhouse.
