Two of the photos in there are of James "Stocky" Edwards, Canadian fighter pilot. Last night I was at a dinner near Ottawa for Vintage Wings, and "Stocky", now 92 or so, was supposed to be the speaker for the evening, but at the last minute couldn't make it. Still going strong, however. In the photo of him standing nonchalently with hands in pockets, he was 22 years old, and in two years had risen from Flight Sergeant to commanding four squadrons simultaneously, and had 19 kills to his name, 18 of those against fighters.

Thanks for posting, Paul!

Mike
