Xbox Sign In Pop-up

Earlier this afternoon I started up MSFS, Steam Edition. Didn't progress very far when I got a pop-up, saying I needed to sign into X-Box. It was strange because I never signed out of Xbox. Anyway, no matter what I did, nothing was working. I went to the Xbox website, and signed in there, but when I started up MSFS, the damn pop-up appeared still. Same thing with MSFS 2024. Finally, I tried signing in using my phone number. That worked, however, from that point it was like I was signing in for the first time. Although my controller settings had been saved, nothing else was. Infuriating, to put it mildly. NC

Sometimes your login to the Xbox network kind of expires, so to say.
It doesn't happen every day, fortunately.
But when it happens, the sim can't identify you properly and can lose your settings and such (including the installation folder location, then it asks you for a full reinstall...).

This is why, despite using the Steam version of the sim (both 2020 and 2024), I always launch the XBox app AT FIRST, just to check if everything looks alright in there.
If there is anything strange in there, or if it asks me to login, then I always force a logout then a login again. And only then I launch the sim.
If there is something like an orange popup in the XBox app, then it's most likely a network outage on the Microsoft side, and then I know I just shouldn't launch the sim at all until that is resolved.
