• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Zoom in MSFS 2020

YoYo

SOH-CM-2023
Installed Today. I'm impressed but what heppened with zoom -/+?
Zoom in mouse (wheel) works very well in VC (precisely) but from keyboard "-, +" or joystick, it has very, very big jump - something like two short pushes and I'm on maxed or min zoom. To fast....
Any idea? Is it normal?

BTW, for anyone who hasn't noticed, you can also adjust the default height that you sit in the cockpit within the cockpit camera settings and it will keep it at that setting for you.

Also, you can use the space bar key to quickly give yourself a boost up in your seat in the cockpit to see over the nose, and pressing the space bar again will reset back to the default height. If I'm not using Track-IR, this is very helpful to quickly look up and over or back down and lower just by pressing the space bar.

Another tip - although it is on auto by default (another cockpit setting you can change), there is a flashlight effect that allows you to illuminate the cockpit at night, as if you're using a flashlight, to allow you to see in the dark before turning on the aircraft power/lights. The default key command for the flash light is Left Alt+L.

BTW, there are a bunch of how-to videos appearing in Youtube on settings adjustments. Loving this sim so far. Been a week now.
