Attention all DC-3 fans !

I thought I would share an interior pan in Prepar3D. This is version 2.5 which seems to render color better than 3.1 and shows the wonderful luster of the specular maps applied to the interior parts.

Gordon-

I have stayed with v2.5 for now and seeing this video affirms I have not made a bad choice ;). Jan's work is AMAZING, and your skin redo will be EPIC. She's a grand old gal and I can't wait to fly into Cox's Bazar :)

Best- Carl

Nice one Gordon :encouragement: again for some reason my mind still keeps coming back to "Band of Brothers" after sitting in the cockpit , just showing and puts you into that seat at night, when doing the first photo session it was dark in the hanger and it really gave it depth , this little video really starts to really show it .

This video may be a tiny bit choppy in a few places due to the massive load on my system running Prepar3D 3.1 with DR in an extremely demanding scenery. I'm not really video savvy, so I haven't mastered the techniques that translate a relatively fluid sim to a relatively fluid YouTube video. lol

Jan Visser's immaculate VC in a 2048 32bit skin set running max sliders across the board, REX TD with Soft Clouds, AS Next live weather @ 20 cloud layers, ultra high density autogen 2x default saturation and photoreal HD ground poly that covers roughly 400 square miles...

That's a load, and the VC, with it's multiple/layered texture sheets with spec and bumps performs like a Swiss watch. The video documents state-of-the-art simulator technology combined with cutting edge scenery design techniques, many of which are experimental and in development. I'm designing with 64 bit as the target for current and future sceneries. They work pretty darned good now in 32 bit and will be spectacular when we finally get a platform that will take full advantage of our hardware.

This piece is for everyone's entertainment while the author finishes his work.

Enjoy...

That run to Wellington took you right up the Kaikoura range, which is so much like the Eastern Sierra it's amazing. The Owens Valley and Awatere are almost twin sisters, with Awatere being a bit narrower. I remember being fascinated by the similarity.

Gordo...man, nobody's called me that in ages...:ernaehrung004:

:adoration: I think it go's with the territory , I got a very sore head that day ... we had a Southerly front come thru and it was as choppy as heck , my best flight in the jump seat was out off Wanaka and back to Christchurch , its dang impressive again , from the cockpit heading out over the ranges and having a couple of B1900 speed past , coming into Wigram ... well even miles back just after Ashburton the was a dot in the sky just above Banks Peninsular .. it was a hot air balloon.

Being a Gordo :engel016: ... a man with a real history and real wings.

Absolutely mind blowing Gordon! Well done Sir ! Mike :ernaehrung004:

Oh man Gordon, the video is a masterpiece but beyond that I love the scenery. I am off to try to find your Mammoth and Bishop scenery. You also mentioned doing Reno a while back. (I think you did) Any word on how that is coming? Thanks for all you do.

They are all WIP, but closing in on a release date. :encouragement:
