X-Plane Screenshots

Get into your "dataref editor" - "fog-begone" - mine's at 1.5000000. Other plugins - FSEhancer" and "Ultimate mod" help.

The screenshot with the reShade looks great, Laminar needs to use it or come up with their own form of it, to me default X-Plane colors look washed out, dull

Is that accessed while Im in the Sim or is it accessible thru the XP11 install Folder? Gonna try it as soon as I have XP11 re installed clean and my FSE Scenery back in so I can access CYIX in NWT and Soto Airbase in Honduras. My RCAF Twin Otter needs it's legs stretched.

Maybe a simpler solution...

Do you manually configure weather or get real world weather? I usually download and as you see there is often a distant haze which I don't mind. On one occasion I switched to manual and changed the visibility to maximum and things were as clear as a bell. I may be way off what your referring to in which case... sorry.

One thing I always learned from any Flight Sim be it FS or XP dont use the Default WX Engine, it's worse then your 600pm Local WX forecast lol. Im waiting to see if the Active Sky or REX team in FS jumps to XP Development. Im told WX Development is a Low Priority with the XP Dev Team.

I was just going to say..never use default WX...

Can't quite comprehend the dislike for the default weather. Works and looks just fine.

default weather seems ok to me too but the great thing is we can all have it our own way.:biggrin-new:

I'm really liking that freeware Hurricane too! Nice pics guys! I was just thinking back to my flying days and there were more days with haze than without pretty much all over the Continental US,Mexico and Central America.

The times I have flown on commercial flights, there always seemed to be a bit of haze, nothing really clear unless you were close to the ground.

Why does it take aftermarket devs to make X-Plane look this good ?, it should come looking this good.

You can make it look this good for free using HD World Scenery..even better if you add payware Ortho4x. We did the same thing in FSX but their freeware didn't do much for scenery.
