WOW!! That's some great unexpected NOTAM ! Thanks Noddy ! :encouragement:

I was about to stop the video in horrible disbelief seeing the initial shots of the glass cockpit ! Luckily i hung on and was rewarded with an original steamgauge panel a few seconds later. Pheww!!

Remarkable also no bare metal to see in this video.... Like with the F-86 i'd expect to see lots of bare metal with the T-Bird..

@ Keith: what does SWS stand for again ?..... You mean this gracious T-Birdy wasn't build from the ground up by Inibuilds ?

Thanks again for this great news!! Made my day !!:ernaehrung004:

In the link below the video, it give a little more details on the model.

But, SimWorks Studios supported in systems modelling and some flight model elements, with the iniBuilds Premier Aircraft team being responsible for the remaining elements.

I may be the odd man out, but I'm stoked that there's an option for modern avionics! Isn't that pretty much a requirement to get access to most larger airports anyway?

OK! Must've been too exited to notice the video.... Did see the 'Ace Maker' video. Fantastic !

Also got the email from Inibuilds now. Everything clear now. Just wonder about the bare aluminium... Surely right up the repainters' workshop ?...

Thanks again, Noddy ! (y)

I saw this announcement first thing this morning and I'm very excited for its release. Tom, I'm in the same boat as you. I too am more interested to use the cockpit version with the modern avionics, matching the examples I'm familiar with that are flying today (many of which are actually Canadian-built CT-133s), but I'm also happy they're including a period-correct cockpit (even if just to not see any complaining in the forums). I'm sure it's sacrilege to many here, but I like flying the Taog Huey with the modern panel too (with period markings), because the restored/currently flying Huey I've seen most often in person flies with a modern glass panel as well, despite the rest of it being configured and painted like an example from the Vietnam War era.

So many great aircraft products just about to drop in the next few weeks - the Inibuilds T-33, SWS RV-8, FlyingIron Fw 190, and Tukan Ford Trimotor all at the top of my list of most anticipated.

SWS stated they were doing a T33 at least a year ago, then went quiet...I assume ini picked it up.
Yes, i seem to remember something like that too.. I even believe something similar happend in FSX/P3D. Did we ever get a good T-33 ??... No Sir ! Up until now !! :greenfire: ( atleast it very much seems like it.. ;-)

Still, i'd trade them all, maybe even including the T-33, for the FlyingIron B-17 !

You better believe i'd be complaining about such blasphemy until the authentic cows would've come home !

Hehe..., I knew you'd like them modern avionics, Tom. You just have to buy that ol' T-Bird now, don't you ! :eagerness:

I like your list , John.
Especially the 190 has got me jumping in my chair. But a nice bare metal / dayglow t-33 would be nice too. I think i,ll buy this one

Please give us the option of adding a travel pod for those cross country flights! Easily in my top 5 MSFS desires (Also F-27, L-188 Electra, 727-100, and DC-9)…

Oh, wow, my reaction to this video is not appropriate for a family forum. Day one purchase for sure.

SimWorks Studios does amazingly good work. I have all their MSFS planes, and they're top-notch. Love the Vans RV series for putting around. I'm way more excited by this seeing that they're involved. (They're also working on a series of B-52s, of interest to this group.)

I love that there are both options. I like the period accurate steam gauge cockpits for "test flights" -- trying to see how much of the T-33 1950s experience I can recreate -- but having a modern cockpit when taking advantage of that beautiful bubble canopy for cross-country sightseeing is nice.

Growing up on Air Force Bases, this is one aircraft that always reminds me of being a kid during those wonderful years. Day one purchase for me!

Forest
Late 1950s. My father would occasionally drive me by the flightline at Elsworth AFB. There would always be one of these parked there.
