KAPF Naples Florida

Just when I thought I was going to get this released...there are problems with the terminal and the tower. I fixed the flag on the tower but the night lighting on the terminal is not right so it's back to the drawing board but not tomorrow, or this weekend. I'll get back at it on Monday. To all your wives and mothers, Happy Mothers Day!
 
Guess I still got more work to do. I don't really quit unfinished. By accident I found Facebook pages for the Firehouse and the GA Terminal with tons of good photos I downloaded all of. Next week I will get back on construction of these two and THEN I think I will consider this all complete and release the beta for comments.
 
I fixed the terminal this afternoon and recreated the bgl. It was added to the AFCAD and then compiled. I checked it out in P3D and there is no more flickering in the night textures on the windows. Starting Monday I am going to tackle the last two buildings I want to add: firehouse and new GA terminal now that I have enough photos of them to do them justice. We're getting close to beta release.

Yep, it has turned out that FaceBook, much like the internet, does have a few good uses. ;)

I matched both in Adobe Photoshop RGB for both the wall AND the downspout. I have to add a few more details tomorrow like the red alert light on the pillars by each door. You should recognize the textures on the open doors from these that I clipped. I know from interpreting photo intelligence photos from Navy archives that the direction and angle of the sun or if there IS any sun makes a difference in photos but it looks like the full photo is IN sunlight just like this one is. I did notice in my searching that the tower was a darker yellow and now is painted lighter. It also didn't have the flag all the time but said NAPLES MUNICIPAL AIRPORT in a box some years ago. Couldn't get a date on that photo but all the later ones have the flags. That's the fun (or not) of creating and matching to photos. You just do with what you've got when you create. Like the online KAPF airports are all way back in 2009 which is why I chose to do this and also KRDU which I will get back to next week and finish it. I hope to complete this tomorrow and add it to the AFCAD.

It's been a lot of years since my 35mm slr days. You are probably right. When we were moving and downsizing with weekly garage sales, I sold my Nikon 35mm with the filters and lens to a lady whose daughter was in college taking photography for a graphics arts degree and had to shoot 35mm bw
and color and develop themselves. Even back 15 years ago everything was digital. I gave her a good deal with my own daughter in college.
 
Made an "executive" decision to release this w/o the GA Terminal at this time and as a beta so feel free to comment to me here on something or a fix. I tweaked it a bit more this morning with a couple things I noticed. I noticed that I need to put red obstruction lights on top of the tower that I thought were there. In the next update it will be corrected. Here is the link in mediafire:
