Fuzzy Aircraft Textures

Members +
I had this issue several years ago. On one of my installs, some the aircraft exterior textures are fuzzy especially around the wheels and the aircraft insignia and numbering on the wings, fuselage and tail and most the add-on planes don't have this problem. I was told once that it had to do with the aircraft.cfg files, but I'm not sure. Any ideas or thoughts on this?

Don't know if this helps your situation simfreak but check in the cfs2.CFG and check to see if this is what you see;

[DISPLAY]
Device=NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
Mode=1680x1050x16
AntiAlias=0
HWTnL=0
Disable=0

The Disable= must be a "0".

Sounds like the "Max. object texture size" in the Display Settings is too low. IIRC it has to do with the aircraft texture format or if the texture has Mipmapping. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mipmap
You hit the nail on the head. The Max. texture size on this install was too low at 256 while the other installs were at 512. I changed it to 512 and no more fuzziness with the planes. Thank you so much. I kept the Max. scenery texture size at 256. Would increasing that to 512 cause problems? My PC has a 2gb video card and a 3.8ghz processor that's more that adequate for CFS2. Thanks again.

In my cfs.CFG file, there is no Disable line. Should I add it below the HWTnL line?
