Anybody out there know or know if there is a model of a Short Sterling for CFS2? Got one in CFS3 and love to have one as a target for my German Night Fighters. Thanks.

This is a conversion of Ted Cook's Short Stirling for CFS2.
The file contains converted mdl, working airfile, converted textures, new improved dp. The panel is only a basic one but it will let you fly.
Because of the way the keys commands are set up, the bomb doors are tagged with the cargo door tag and open with <SHIFT> + E then 2 for FS9.This command does not exist in CFS2 so therefore they will not open.
The grey bomb doors are down to your video card settings in FS9.

Too bad the bomb bay doors don't work. It is what it is. I know they're probably not much calls for British heavy bombers in CFS2 so I just accepted it. I installed it as an AI aircraft anyway like the other British heavy bombers I have in my European install.kdriver submitted a new resource:
Short Stirling B.Mk I - Short Stirling B.Mk I

No worries. No big deal. I just don't have the skills to try it. Happy flying.Hi Browncoat & Steven,
Gary Jones did a four engine set for FS2004/FSX. I can't remember from where I obtained them, but as there are no restrictions, I'll upload them here.
Perhaps one our Gmax wizards might feel inclined to get the bomb doors working.
I made a big mistake. One version of the Stirling I have the bomb doors do work. It's the original conversion of Ted Cooks Stirling by Buddha that the doors don't seem to work that I have I think.Too bad the bomb bay doors don't work. It is what it is. And it suits me fine. Thanks for the info.
Thanks. Used what you used and the doors work fine. Problem I have now is trying to get the bombs to appear in the bombay correctly or close. Edited the hardpoints in the DP and it helped a little,but I still have work to do. And a question about the hardpoint locations. If the number is negative in the horizontal position, does that mean that the hardpoint is left of the planes centerlineHello gents
I made some tests with the stirling.mdl, here it is with bomb doors opening with the tail hook key (shift+H for me)
you have to add those lines to the aircraft.cfg:
[TailHook]
tailhook_length=4 ;(feet)
tailhook_position = -15.0, 0.0, -1.0 ;(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum
cable_force_adjust = 1.0
I can change it to work with concorde_nose key, or bomb_bay (in this case it will work only for AI planes)
Let me know what you prefer
Cheers

If the number is negative in the horizontal position, does that mean that the hardpoint is left of the planes centerline? Does the same apply for the longitudinal and vertical position of the hardpoint . It looks like I'm going to have to change the hardpoints for all the bombs in all three positions. At least the doors work
