The X-bow concept is going from strength to strength.

Its a form of bow shape that is superior to others especially in rough weather as it allows the vessel to go through the waves instead of 'slamming' into them using a flared bow.

At the moment the ships built have been limited to replenishment ships in the North Sea, but, a container ship is on the stocks.

One wonders if this design will be taken up by cruise ships and warships. Can you imaging a carrier with this bow and a ramp attached?

No, thats a 'ram bow', the curvature of the bow is opposite to that of the X-bow and also has a flare or knuckle. Seen on all good battleships, cruisers and destroyers laid down before 1916.
