• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Just checked the site (as I have at least once a day for the last two years) and they are offering a $5.00 off pre-order coupon....says late December (Christmas?) release. I am giddy. :jump::ernae::jump::ernae::jump::ernae:
 
I am a member of their forums also, and am too waiting for this release. But I'm waiting for the FSX version though.
 
Way too late for a FS9 release. I'll wait for the FSX version. Would be nice if they had at least one USMC skin! I might buy it for FS9 then......?

Well, not everyone is using (or ever will use) FSX. And, those of us who have been holding out for this from VRS are finally being rewarded. One trip to the VRS forums will more than convince anyone that not only is FS9 alive and well, but that it is thriving in many areas. So in the event that I ever do slip into the eternal vacuum of space and time that is FSX, I will be rewarded in Q3 2009 with the FSX version of the Superbug. And for the record....To my knowledge are only doing REAL skins for it; But I'm sure that the painters will be changing that once it is released. Cheers! :jump:
 
Sorry, not convinced. I am convinced that this will probably be the last big release for FS9. Real skins? The Marine Corps has flown 18's for many years. One real USMC skin would be nice.
 
Mud's is right. Were is the USMC F/A 18. It would not be fair to let the USN have all the attention. Remember Marines are first in last out. I'm not buying unless i see fairness and a USMC paint.
 
A Marine Super Bug? They're not in the Super Bug game though and never will be except the E/A-18G Growler version. I am sure someone will do some aftermarket USMC paints for it.

Actually we didn't forget the Marines, it's just that they don't fly F/A-18Es. We're sticking with a full set of true-to-life F/A-18E squadrons for official paints, with the exception of the Blue Angels "fantasy" paint. Obviously the Blue Angels don't fly F/A-18Es either, but the requests were so high we couldn't ignore them.

We'll be shipping a paint kit for anyone who wants to create a United Airlines F/A-18E.

Thank you for clarifying, John. That was what I was led to believe. BTW...placed my order today and am anxiously anticipating mid-to-late December (uhhhh...except for all of the Christmas shopping) Cheers!
 
Besides the Aerialfoundry F/A-18 what other C/D model is available?

I feel ya Mud, the same thing happened with the Cloud9 Phantom. I got it and have not found any Marine Corps repaints.

That's because there were no USMC F-4F's.....at least none that I am aware of. They did one USN paint as a favor for one of the C9 members, but that was as close as it came. Cheers!
 
No Marine 18's; they picked the wrong version of bug then! Disreguarded again, now I know where my money will stay.

You need to be fussing at the Secretary of the Navy, MM. The poor people at VRS are just being faithful to reality.

Can they help it if all the Marines get are hand me downs? ;)
