I am developing a museum kiosk about the Tuskeegee Airmen which will include feature a short faux-documentary depicting a typical B-24 escort mission, captured from CFS3 (we have permission from Microsoft). I'm looking for someone to set up the mission accurately in CFS3+Firepower and then do the screen video capture of the P-51s, B-24s and FW-190s, some in cockpit but mostly exterior, with high-quality graphic settings, smooth frame rate, etc. Anyone interested? If so, include links to a few screen capture video that you've done.

This would be a paid gig.

thanks
Dave

Thanks for the fast replies! Those are some gorgeous videos. I was initially planning to do the video capture myself, but quickly realized that I would need a lot more expertise with the game to get good clips, and expertise is worth paying for.

I was thinking CFS3+Firepower because I need B-24s. If there's another option, that's fine, but from my newbie research, that looked like the way to go.

With the focus on the Tuskegee Airmen, we would like to include some shots taking off and returning to land their base at Rametelli, Italy (near Naples). I don't think that's included in CFS3 and maybe not in any expansions; any suggestions on how to tackle that?

The other shots (probably around 50 in all) will be airborne, things like rendezvousing with and then escorting the B-24s, B-24 gets hit by flak, P-51 dropping fuel tank, and of course dogfights with FW-190s.

About airfield : MAW add on cover italia, and have already two airfields at napoli. Anyway its possible to add some but it need to compile the global layer. It would be better to have an airfield that looks like, even if not in the same place (type and number of runways)

CFS3 std stop near MonteCassino, but there s not napoli

i have a B24 but maybe you need some special repaints ?

Which museum?

If you need any particular skins just let us know.

Thanks for all the interest! I was worried it would be hard to find anyone to help me. Here are a few more specifics:
-This is going to be part of a kiosk interactive at the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum, in their Pioneers of Flight gallery (the pioneers being the Tuskegee Airmen).
-I found a custom Tuskegee P-51 model on flyawaysimulation.com/, but at second look there it says it's FSX, not CFS3. Would that work? But it looks like there are other possibilities for redtail models from the 332nd group--FAFL342Pascal, is that a painting or a screen grab?
-I have to check and see what paint scheme the B-24s they supported had, so I may be very happy to get some help with repaints on that.
-I need to acquire permission from the manufacturers of any software or models we use, and I am not sure how that applies to MAW (that web site isn't responding). That was user-generated content? It's true that the airfield layout is more important than the larger geographic location, as far as capturing some plausible video clips of takeoff and landing.

The P51 is a repaint from "Wildbat", available on SOH.
its a "D" version.
In the video flyer01 point at, it was p51B in italia, and p51d lately over germany.
Anyway, if video is just introducing or ending some longer sequences, quizz, pages, for newbees, you can stand for the p51D. there are also other bombers as b17 and b26.
Fsx would be able to give some wonderfull shots, but wont go for fighting, drop tanks or hit by flak. (the best fsx i ever seen : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_GVgvsIxzQ )

This p-51_d is in AvHistory.with this wright-up about the plane and pilot.
P-51D-30 MUSTANG

Captain Brown commanded the 100th Fighter Squadron of the 332nd Fighter Group (the "Tuskegee Airmen") in World War II, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters.
Captain Brown was a part of the March 24, 1945 59 plane Mission led by Col. Davis escorting bombers B-17 and B-24 of the 115th Air force on their longest raid of 1600 miles round trip to attack the Daimler -Benz tank works in the out skirts of Berlin. On this mission., while over Berlin the bombers were attacked by the Germans latest fighter air craft the Me-262 and rocket powered ME 163 fighter aircraft.
During the ensuing "Dog fight" to protect the bombers, Captain Brown destroyed a ME-262 becoming the first to shoot down a jet with a conventional aircraft.
Today Dr. Roscoe C. Brown, Jr. Ph.D, is the Director of the Center for Urban Education Policy and University Professor at the Graduate School and University Center of The City University of New York, is past President of Bronx Community College of CUNY, and was formerly Director of the Institute of Afro-American Affairs at New York University.
He holds a doctorate from New York University, and has served on faculty at West Virginia State College and as a full professor at New York University's School of Education. A native of Washington, D.C., Dr. Brown is a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts.

Well done Dr. Roscoe C. Brown, Jr.:medals:

I'm working on the scenario for the interactive; it looks like they flew both C and D at the same time, so either would work for us. They escorted B-24s from many different bomber wings, so there's latitude there as well.

For the video capture, since this is a kiosk, I would really like to have full screen--1280x1024--video clips at high-quality graphics settings. Is your system capable of that?

I need to acquire permission from the manufacturers of any software or models we use, and I am not sure how that applies to MAW (that web site isn't responding). That was user-generated content? For starters, I would recommend that you install MAW (or re-install it) and then you will have a chance to reread the copyright notice. (It shows up quite early-on in the process.) Most of the constraints regarded the distribution of the files, to ensure that people didn't start distributing it for fee. You would also be more interested in any constraints on the end-uses.

The download links for the MAW files can be found in this thread: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=18693&page=4

The same would go for ETO and Firepower.

If there are only specific aircraft that you need, you can probably find the respective creators by poring through the various README files in the aircraft directories.

Edit: Come to think of it, several of the aircraft and some of the other assets may have their own README files or other documents limiting use. All you have to do is look through the directories to find them.

Thanks for all the links, guys. I"m downloading MAW now but I read something that implied I'd need a fresh install of CFS3 to install it into---since I've got Firepower already installed, that won't work?
