SOH Team,

Has any put any thought into a good versions of Douglas A-20 Havoc or Martin B-26 Marauder for FS2004 or that could work well in FSX, Mr Milton Shupe has been the expert in multi engine wwII aircraft (A-26 Invader, F7F Tigercat, Howard 500, Beech 18, the A-28 Grizzly . I'm putting it out there that we do not currently have any that are that good. FOOD FOR THOUGHT....

The best A-20 Havoc for FS2004 is the freeware Alphasim one. Don't know if it will work in FSX or not. It could use some better paints with more refined details....that is a project that I have way out on one of the side burners...have a paint kit partially done, but since it isn't a plane that I fly on a regular basis, it isn't a high priority job.

You'd probably get a better answer on something's FSX compatibility in the FSX forum

As for Marauders, it would hard to beat Dave Eckert's.

Thanks guys,

  1. The problems I have are Alphasim A-20 does not work well in FSX (I know, why post in 2004 when I want it for FSX, well I find that Mr. Shupe is capable of making a FS2004 A/C work extremely well in FSX). He has done some magic to make them work FSX, but if I knew how to make these work in FSX I would (like the A-26 Invader it is perfect in FSX and FS2004).
  2. The Martin B-26 at least the one I got, which appears similar to (but may not be the one) in question that caused my last puter to crash/corrupted it so bad (I had fs2004) I bought a new puter. This makes me hesitant to install on the new puter.
  3. They just did NOT work for me (I'm just flyer not a builder) I know the experts here could make far superior updated versions, it's just when do they have time.
  4. This was just a to put it out to see if anyone would like to tackle such a task.

I know this is an old post, but nobody mentioned TR's

There are some newer A-20s and B-26's in the new CFS 2 section on Simviation. Don't know how they work in FS9, though.
