I'm getting a bit Vetteled-out this season. Seemingly there is Vettel then the rest. Bit like when there was Schumacher and then the rest...

Yes the circuit suits Ferrari, McLaren must be deeply disappointed.
It's the kind of circuit where you can really see when drivers are overdriving, even M Schumacher took to 2 wheels...

and as even Vettel found out, the ever-present walls waiting to bite...Kobayashi got away with a couple of really close ones, but de la Rosa had 2 left wheels definitely slimmer than the starboard side.
"Mixed weather" - it's going to be an interesting race - McLaren have a high downforce setup, counting on rain.

Strike that last comment; can we get some sunshine now..?

BTW what was Hamilton doing? Hit three cars in seven laps, almost takes out his team mate, two investigations by the stewards.. He's trying way too hard the last few races!

These days they can't change the set-up of the car after qualifying any more, and with the flat bottoms these cars have they start to float when there's too much water on the track.

Anyway, great win by Jenson in the end!! Long interruption but well worth the wait! :applause:

Yes,
Lewis has been acting silly as of late, I won't dump him though...

And, I still have Nico to root for too! :mixedsmi:

Nico was nowhere to be seen today, but Michael finally showed some of his old self today! :applause: If it wasn't for the DRS system he could have finished on the podium I think.

Yes Michael did very well....today...on the other days, Nico has had him covered...:mixedsmi:

Maybe Lewis is preparing for NASCAR! :icon_lol:

I'm reckoning that drive by Jenson today was about as good a drive I have ever seen in F-1. Nice to see someone besides Vettel on the top podium.

BTW what was Hamilton doing?
Mr. Lewis "One-Man Demolition Derby" Hamilton.

Seen here looking for the reason the back wheels stopped turning...oh, must've whacked someone again.
Uhhn...teammate, actually...
Stupid and sad, because he of all people should be taking it to Vettel.

Button spent more time in the pits than on the track, how did he manage to win??
Weird, disjointed race, glad I didn't get up at 5:00 AM to watch it live.

Hey All,

I saw some of this race as I switching back and forth between it and Pocono.

Bummer for Vettel - he probably had it but for a wiggle.

Hamilton was obviously thinking more about Rihanna than driving.:bump:

Being two second a lap faster than the rest on the almost dry track helps, as did the safety car periods near the end. He was 21st and last after that shunt with Alonso, with 34 laps to go!

Vettel was too cautious near the end, probably thinking that they wouldn't catch him but that left his tires a bit too cold and that cost him on the last lap.

Lauda summed up Hamilton's situation in a typical Lauda style.
No holding back and why should he???
Brundle and 'Coolthud' explained it rather well, Hamilton thinks he is the best driver and deserves a better car (the Mac is hardly second rate!) along with a team mate who will be a good 'Number Two'.
Louise should rewind a few years back to his own first season.............bloody Muppet!!!
:173go1::173go1::173go1:

I rather like Button and he is really a better all round driver (read 'Mature') than Louise.
There is an air of desperation about Hamilton, while JB has more quiet confidence in his approach that will be bolstered by pushing 'Little Sebastian' into a mistake.
Probably Jenson's best drive since he joined F1, and I do like a World Champion driver who's voice has broken and his testes have descended!
Kudos to Webber, he survived Hamilton's first blunder and pushed Herman into a mistake, nice.

Surprised but pleased that the event went ahead, but it was a long night, MotoGP coverage started at 20:00 Sunday evening and combined with the final hours of Le Mans, the delayed Canadian GP took me to an 07:30 finish Monday.

Good thing that it is a public holiday .......:applause:

And a PS: Let's hear it for Casey, third consecutive MotoGP win for Honda since 2002 IIRC, most impressive, while Colin Edwards deserves both ears and the tail for a podium on a privateer entry one week after having his fractured collar bone pinned and plated. Epic ride!!!
