If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Would love to see that car. Always had a soft spot for that era of Mercs....Herohito merc...
I studied under George Barris while going thru high school.....I think that they made a couple of identical Batmobiles as extras and display cars.
I saw one of the Batmobiles at the Denver Auto Show in 1967 or 1968. It was reportedly very heavy and pretty much of a slug to drive. Don't know for sure, but that's what I heard back when I saw the car.
We just finished watching the first four Batman movies over the last week and it's interesting to see how the Batmobile has morphed into a super car with the advent of computer graphics and animation.
Unfortunatly, the batmobile from the TV series can not be shown in public untill the law suit with the studio is final.....Warner bros say they have all rights to the batmobile because it was made for the series.....So untill then she sits under a tarp in the basement of the Barris shop.Would love to see that car. Always had a soft spot for that era of Mercs.
