• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

OT: What's your desktop backgroud?

I swap desktops at least every other week. I guess I get bored easy. I have a folder with 181MB of just wallpaper images! Here's what I'm currently using. I wish I knew where it is - I'd love to visit!
 
Here are several I had on mine. I tend to rotate through Wallpaper. Its motivating in my line of work...

Presently though I have a Earth photo from space, comes with Apple and looks cool...

I've used this one for a long while now. It's my Dad's old 1947 2 ton Chevy wrecker.
 
I usually grab a screen while flying and see a cool or interesting shot. This is my current one.

My current desktop is a photo taken by my old man, of H.M.S Superb photographed from H.M.S. Glasgow, the ship he was serving on at that time in 1949.

That is not all that far from you, Tom. That is Chimney Rock and Lake Lure in North Carolina. Head West, young man!! :running:

How ya doing Don?

That sure is one of my old stomping grounds. Not more than a two hour drive for you Tom, hit the I-40 West and then hit NC 74 to Chimney Rock and Bat Cave. They have an SCCA Hill Climb about every year. A real nice place.

I'm constantly changing desktops, am using one of my screens right now.

Always switching from time to time. Sometimes I'll use the calendar shots from "Computer Pilot" online, or like this one, from Airliners.net.
 
Well, here's one of my favorites I use as "wallpaper" - spent a lot of years working on this one!!! :applause:
 
What I do tend to do is take some of my favorites and put them into a "rotating" screen saver!!

Not that I was appointed judge of the best desktop background or anything, BUT, I really liked yours WhiteHawk. The very 1st picture. :applause:

And PRB, yours made me laugh out loud, I can see you're the plain & simple type ;) All your icons would drive me bonkers though. :isadizzy:
