• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Folks, we kicked off our 2013 Salute to Veterans Tour last weekend in Atlanta and we are in Jackson, MS this weekend. We are adding new tour dates every other week almost and we hope to make a wide sweep across the western United States.

We are once again touring with The Movie Memphis Belle. This is the first time this aircraft has been available to the public to ride on in the West Coast!

Please come out and see us! Without your support, aircraft like this B-17 would become hangar queens. Can you imagine your son or daughter or your grandchildren never hearing the thunderous sound that is 4800 horses overhead. That my friends, is the sound of freedom, and sacrifice....

No, it's only an hour drive for me. Let me know the dates when they are finalized and I'll make plans to be there. I'm assuming the "Bell" will be at Boeing Field?
 
I am not sure yet which Field. There are a lot of factors involved, ESPECIALLY with Seattle... There has been issues with insurance that has kept other operators away. So, either way I will post it here!

if you make it to the Sacramento area,,Mather field (doughtfull ), McClellan field ,Sacramento metro (hope not),or Lincoln regional airport ( Karl Harder Field)....the latter is my personal hope...best access for "fans" to see aircraft..

if infact you are still with the tour,please let me know..id like to meet up with you for a hello,hand shake and that other bit of ackward moments when everyone around is thinking...ok what now?....but still...would be nice to meet someone from SOH in person..
 
Let me know if/when you get to Roanoke, Virginia someday. Maybe we could do something jointly with your outfit and the museum.

Not sure where we are going after San Diego... But stay tuned. I can continue to post new stops here if everyone likes. And unfortnately I am not part of the crew that travels with the airplane. Believe it or not, but we only have one individual that pretty much is at every stop. The rest of us are all volunteers, including the pilots. I help when they are near by, or or when my services are needed.(i.e., when absolutely no one is available!) I'm more of a "behind the scenes" type.... I run the Facebook Page, publish a newsletter, do an extreme amount of brainstorming about how to make things better/smoother...

I believe we were in Virginia Beach last Fall. Might not make it back to Virginia this year, but you never know!
