• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

How do you get your camera angles, Sean? Crop from fly-by or spot? Custom aircraft camera? FS Recorder playback and slewing another aircraft in 2D cockpit with panels off?

I manipulate a custom FSRecorder spot view camera while flying. Sometimes I'll pause while flying to get what I want in the background, but there's no slewing or playback required (unless I want a formation shot or a very specific action angle).

With the above shot, I had just departed Bergen, Norway (Flesland Airport) enroute to Kristiansand (Kjevik Airport) via Stavanger. I was flying along and thought the terrain looked nice, so I paused, manipulated the spot view camera a bit, and took the shot. A very, very slight cropping occured around the top and side edges to 1) remove a little bit more sky, and 2) remove a fine black line that I seem to sometimes get after manipulating a raw shot on the vertical side edges.

There's been some minor color, contrast, and bloom adjustment to the above, but that's basically it.
