• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

KM/AFS PB4Y2 Privateer skinpack by UncleTgt
These are a collection of repaints for AF Scrub's update of Krzysztof Malinowski's PB4Y2 Privateer for CFS 2.
The aircraft are:
VPB106, X525 "Our Baby", Palawan Philippines MAR45
VPB106, X505 "Redwing", Palawn Philippines MAR45
VP28, 2 "Wild Deuce", Itami Japan DEC50
8F, 8 French Indo-China 1951
Also includes, updated kelti-style prop & exhaust effects added to the dp. New maritime recon payloads added to the dp.
The original KM Privateer has different texture bitmap names, if you want to use these repaints, just rename the following bitmaps:
PB4Y2_1_t.bmp to PB4Y2_1.bmp
PB4Y2_2_t.bmp to PB4Y2_2.bmp
PB4Y2_3_t.bmp to PB4Y2_3.bmp
I chose the AF Scrub model update because elements of the external model have been improved (top turrets have frames etc.).
Because the rear fuselage for both models is mirrored, I've had to fake some elements of the Gloss Sea Blue skins, moving the squadron code info onto the lower part of the vertical stabiliser - not accurate but I think it came out OK.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen files in the correct folder(s) for the PB4Y2 Privateer within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory. Back up any originals & replace them with these.
Thanks to
Krzysztof Malinowski for a great aircraft, & AF Scrub for the update.
Kelti for inspiring exhaust effects & prop disks.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
