• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Walrus late-War Skinpack by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for Mike Stone's Supermarine Walrus, converted for use in CFS 2. This pack reflects those aircraft used during the late-war period.

I lifted the 2D panel bitmap from Dave Molyneaux's excellent Walrus for FS2004, & made in WIN 7+ safe & used gauges that would work with CFS 2.

I used Martin Wright's MDLmat & Allens DOSMdlc_2 to shine the model & provide a pre-war aluminimum mdl as well.

The prop texture has been reworked to give better transparency in the Sim.

The textures in this set are: P7350 - BA-Y -ASR aircraft used by 277 sqn RAF during Operation Overlord, June 1944.

W3083 - ASR aircraft is use by escort carrier's Emperor & Ameer, Indian Ocean July 1945.
W3072 - S - Aircraft embarked in HMS Belfast during Autumn 1943.
X9564 - Z - Aircraft embarked in HMS King George V during February 1943.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to: Mike Stone for the original aircraft, & the team headed by Buddha13 that put together the CFS 2 conversion.

Martin Wright for so many useful tools, in this case MDLmat, alowing parts of the model to be shined.

Allen for his DOSmdlc_2 package.

Dave Molyneaux for the use of his 2D panel bitmap.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.
