• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

1943/44 USN Skinpack for Wolfi's TBF-1 Avenger by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for the TBF-1 Avenger made by Wolfi for CFS 2. It includes 2D panel bitmaps made WIN 7+ compatible (I just made them larger), as WIN 7+ O/S struggles with 1024 x 768 bitmaps. I've made some slight adjustments to the dp files for AI performance in combat & added kelti exhaust effects.

The textures are: TBF-1 (early model)

T19 Aircraft of VT-9, flying from USS Essex, circa October 1943.
5 Aircraft of VT-12, based on USS Saratoga, November 1943.
C-3 Aircraft from VT-23, embarked USS Princeton, November 1943.
C-5 Aircraft from VC-30, working up on USS Monterey, October 1943.
2 Aircraft believed to be from VC-35, flying from USS Chenango, circa May 1944.
J29 Aircraft believed to be from VC-66, flying from USS Nassau, circa January 1944.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location. Move/copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install. To keep the filesize manageable I've not included any texture bitmaps that remain unchanged - to add them to each texture folder just select your original texture folder contents & copy them to each one in this pack, make sure to select "NOT TO OVERWRITE" any files with matching names. This will add all the other texture bitmaps you need so you can use the texture folder structure as is.

Thanks to: Wolfi for developing an excellent multi-LOD Avenger.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
