This re-paint represents the P-38L owned and operated by the Chino Planes of Fame Air Museum. The aircraft was acquired by the museum in 1998. In 2003 the aircraft was re-painted to represent Maj. Edward Cragg?s ?Porky II?, CO of the 80th Fighter Squadron.

This re-paint represents the P-38L flown by Colonel Charles H. MacDonald, Commanding Officer of the 475th Fighter Group, 5th Air Force. The aircraft represents Col. MacDonald?s aircraft as it looked in December 1944, while based at Tacloban airfield in the Philippines.
