90 Day Evaluation and Pay Raise

OBIO

Retired SOH Admin
I got pulled into the office Sunday night by both supervisors. Time for my 90 day evaluation. They gave me a great eval, which I knew they would since I work circles around everyone on my shift and go the extra mile where needed. The standard company pay raise goes from 5 cents an hour at the low end of the scale, all the way up to a whopping 25 cents an hour on the upper end of the scale. They put me in for the 25 cent an hour raise. And they put me in for an additional 25 cent an hour "merit" raise for running the pallet jack and tow motor, baling the cardboard, and for assisting with setting up the production lines and sticking around at night to do final clean up and put away. Fifty cents an hour.....not a huge raise...but in this economy, an extra 20 bucks a week is a nice thing to have in one's pocket.

Tim

Hooray! Not exactly unexpected but still welcome news. This will be the first of a number of raises, I'll bet. You may yourself wind up supervising if you keep this up.

Congratulations.

It is also nice to see a company which recognizes good work and extra effort.

Great stuff Obio, well done for the 100p.c. effort. Can I ask how much of the $20 you lose to income tax?

Graham.

After taxes, my 50 cents an hour pay raise will result in about 37 cents per hour in my pocket. Not a great increase, but it will help take some of the sting out of the $67 health insurance premium I pay each week.

Right there Tim. My dad always used to say: 'Look after the pennies, the pounds look after themselves'.

OB, where are you going to open that bar tab so we can all give ya a pat on da back and celebrate ...good job BTW.. you are buying....right:applause:

Congratulations for your well earned raise:medals:! You are looking at an extra 960 $ per year, which is a lot of money!

Kudos also to your fair employer who actually honors your extra effort with a raise!

Good for you Tim.:applause: And like was said before, great to see some companies still operate to a decent standard.

Congratulations, Obio!! :greenbo::greenbo::greenbo:

Well deserved, my friend.:salute:
