I can't say enough on how much I am enjoying this WIP, and that I can hardly wait for the final.

Enjoy

Only a matter of days now. Lots of drawing and riveting to do when one doesn't have photo shop or paint shop. But FS Repaint is great doing this job anyway. :)

Cheers,
Maarten

You have come a long way. Rivets are nice and subtle, she looks sweet all over. Thank you for diving into this one Maarten. :applause:

It's a great pleasure Milton. Glad I can do something in return. (only need to decross my vision when I'm ready. I think a few :guinness::guinness:'s will be the proper cure. ;))

Kia Ora,

This lucky geezer spent the period 24 December 2011 till 20 January 2012 on holiday in New Zealand (second time; I love the country and the people).

On 19 January 2012 I spent an afternoon at the MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) in the West of Auckland. This museum has an awesome aircraft collection. Those inside the big hall are in a good condition and there are quite a few types I'd never seen before.
Outside are the larger aircraft, all in some state of restauration though there was no activity then. Apart from the mighty Short Sunderland and Short Solent flying boats as well as a Douglas C-47, there also were two Lockheed "Rounders". Hence this post.
One of them a Model 18 Lodestar (with blanked cabin windows), the other a PV-1 Ventura.

Should you have a chance to have a look at the MOTAT, go and enjoy. It is an amazing place.

Cheers,
Maarten

Looking at the latest pictures got my juices flowing...
I'm not a painter, so could only do a quick rendition without paintkit, but the bare metal suits the Harpoon extremely well!
There are some metal specialists out there, (TuFun, Tankerguy), that will hopefully have a go at it... :)
