Question; was there a paintkit for the Harpoon?
 
One thing I've been liking about these Lockheeds of Miltons. I don't have a paint program that will open a PSD. But there's been bare metal paints for both the Harpoon & Lodestar and those I can use as a "master texture" that I can start out with. That makes it a lot easier than taking one of the textures that come with them and painting out all the stuff I don't want.

I always have trouble it seems setting up a VC with all the correct electrical stuff to manually start an aircraft.

The Lodestar is problematic for me. I cannot always start it from the VC from a Cold and Dark situation.

Can you? If not, then this is a challenge I have.

I pumped up the engine starter torque to eliminate that as a reason:

normalized_starter_torque = 0.3462

Starts fast using the cntrl+e but no joy on a manual start.

Can you help sort this out?
 
I can, Milton, had this issue with a lot of birds. It's the fuel shut off valves, you cannot open them sometimes. For me, the issue was always the right engine's, it just would not budge no matter what. Just grab the default DC-3, do nothing but press Crtl+e, then shut off the engines and save the flight as the default one. Hope this helps.
 
I just repeatedly click on the VC engine start switch fast enough to hold the switch down until the engine starts. It won't fire up if you just click the switch once.
1. Parking brakes on
2.Pull the mixture knob on,
3. Open the throttle lever a little
4.battery switch on,
5.switch on the fuel pump, watch the needle on the engine 3 way gauge climb and when it stops push the starter
6. Adjust the throttle lever to run the engine to about 1100 or 1200 RPMS
Repeat for the 2nd engine. I always start with the right engine first.

Work in progress. The engines are from an earlier paint, just hadn't changed 'em yet.

This is the 1st in this batch that I'm doing. The 2nd is just behind this one, the 3rd I'm still laying out the striping and I've got to do some logos for the 4th.

Exactly Maty. No one likes to see fixes after the release for things that should have been caught in beta testing.

Good testing requires discipline and structure to test out all systems, in all circumstances, weather, and lighting.

The first beta is being uploaded now for FS9 and there will be some things that need changing I suspect.
I depend on testers to shake it down and make recommendations for improvements.
I will not necessarily accommodate all requests but at least they will be highlighted and considered.

The second beta I hope will be clean.

If you are willing to invest time to improve the product through thorough testing, report on all systems functions, flight performance and phases of flight, and respect the hard work that goes into these projects, then sign up by PM'ing me.

Your most welcome. I'm just glad that others enjoy them as much as I do.

The Pan Am's little sister is right behind it and will probably be released at the same time.
