If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

A love story men can relate to.

My first "new" car was a '70 Dodge Challenger R/T. Still love that car!

Never had a new car,too cheap.However,I bought a 70 R/T for $300 minus engine in 1981 or so.Dropped the 383 from a 68 Roadrunner in it ($400 in 1980) and drove it twice.Traded for a 70 Roadrunner that got stolen a year later.

Still had my 69 Roadrunner ($550-no title):USA-flag:all 383's

It would keep up with my 1980 Kawasaki Z1R

My first motor bike

I got my first motor bike when I was in the RAF, it was a Douglas 350 twin, I can tell you it went like abomb on avgas!

all 383's

I never regretted the fact that the salesman talked me out of the Hemi I was going to buy. Yup, he actually had the customer in mind. some years later, I drove a Hemi engined Challenger and it handled like a pig on grease......

AH! Fond momories of my first new car...a 1966 SS 396 Chevelle. Got it the Fall after I graduated HS and had worked long enough to earn the down payment at my first job!

Man, what a car. :ernae:
