A Race Event: Airfields of the Southwest Pacific II.

Miss Nellie has called a meeting of the race committee, at Rabaul. Almost everyone has arrived...

I am entering a WoP (A2A) Boeing B-29A flown in FS9 with default real weather. Yes, a questionable effort trying to get a large bomber in and out of those short dirt and coral runways. And those palm trees...

Did I mention the part about the Wright R-3350's catching on fire a lot? Hmm.

If it was me, I'd be getting in tight with the Chaplain...

Looks like another great event.

I will be flying the A2A P-51D 'Providence Permittin'' based at Airfield No 3, Iwo Jima, Summer 1945. This fine paint is by Jankees. I will be using ASN weather.

It's my intent to enter with the A2A WOP3 P-47D-23 using ASN weather. I will be flying with Accusim turned on - largely because I lost the ability to turn it off after one of the last Accusim updates. :biggrin-new: This will make things interesting.

I will have teams of mechanics and large parts blocks (particularly cylinder sleeves, turbo bearings, and piston heads) sprinkled throughout the course. If Moses can get his Superfort into the airfield, I'll be happy to share. :encouragement:

Thanks Craig!:biggrin-new:

Hey guys,

I'll join in with the Grumman F7F-3 (by Milton / SOH).

Regards, Martin.

I enjoyed the Melbourne trip very much even though the blood pressure suffered a tad! I'll do this one but no GPS will tense me up a bit.

I'll be in this:

If I have time and I can get it sorted out, I'm wanting to try a second run at it in the MAAM Turkey in FSX SE. (thus the "get it sorted out") Just not sure which one yet, but the TBF-1C is the most likely candidate.

Rgr Willy, also thinking about the Turkey for a retun trip. Have it loaded into FSX, but not all of the planes are showing up, and of course, the prop texture problem. Going to work on the problem here soon. Jim

Jim, check your email in about 10 mins.

Done, you have a present in your email.

I have decided what to fly. Got a good deal on a used TBM. Keeping it hidden in an undisclosed top secret hideout until the race starts. It needs a couple new ADF radio sets, couple spark plugs, a new tail wheel tire and a cup holder.

FSX, Vertigo Studios TBM, "built-in" real weather.
