There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Denny,Okay, flaps do work, but you have to use the control to make the motor raise/lower them. I haven't been able to bind them to an axis (the axis makes the control move, but the flaps don't) or buttons.
It's a little quirky (beta), but it sure feels real. Now that I can dirty it up, the handling on landing is really interesting.
Denny,Found this searching for Aerostar info. Wonder if Scott was able to get the plane fixed, or if it was written off? (Edit: N122PC registration expired and was never renewed, which sadly sounds like the plane was scrapped.)
Interview with Scott Gentile:

That's Snodgrass, right ? IIRC after his militairy career he loved flying warbirds at airdisplay shows including his F-86 Sabre. Also IIRC wasn't it Bob Hoover who's fav aircraft was the Aerostar as well ? I think i saw an amazing video of him flying his Aerostar shot from within the cockpit where he puts a glass of wine on the glareshield and then makes a quick roll or even a barrel roll without spilling a drop of wine...The famous F-14 pilot and much loved air show performer, the late Dale "Snort" Snograss, operated an Aerostar so that gives you and indication of it's desirability (and speed)!
Yep - Dale "Snort" Snodgrass my typo sorry! I think Bob Hoover used the Shrike Commander in his demo act rather than the Aerostar. He worked for North American/Rockwell when they merged. That's Snodgrass, right ? IIRC after his militairy career he loved flying warbirds at airdisplay shows including his F-86 Sabre. Personally the Aerostar has never been a fav of mine. I always thought it is rather ugly with its midwings that look like planks, its pointy nose and slightly forward placed vstab. In any case certainly not one of the prettiest in the Piper family.![]()
Yep, that is true. He used the Commander.Yep - Dale "Snort" Snodgrass my typo sorry! I think Bob Hoover used the Shrike Commander in his demo act rather than the Aerostar. He worked for North American/Rockwell when they merged.
