Aeroplane Heaven Spitfire Mk.I

Well, about time ! Thank you Bjoern ! :encouragement:

Love that piece of music and the video and these PSB guys. Never heard of 'em before. Love how they make you guess about 'the one' only revealing it once the guitar theme sets in. Brilliant!

The "It's got to do four hundred miles an hour, turn on a six pence, climb ten thousand feet in two minutes, dive at five hundred without the wings coming off, carry eight machine guns." part always gives me the chills and I'm no particular fan of the aircraft.

PSB's other songs from that album are okay, albeit not particularly engaging (except for "Everest"). The other album "Race for Space", however...

Fantastic! Mesmerizing!

I couldn't help watching all 45 minutes of 'Inform-Educate-Entertain' ( https://youtu.be/kSBMeWY5wmk ) and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, both audio- and videowise (steamlocomotivelover pur sang). Also love their life performances.

We don't want to hijack this thread and turn it into one about music although a Spitfire is music for ears and eyes, isn't it, but, hoping he's new to you too, i'd like to introduce this multitalented Norwegian guy to you (atleast the song is about flying..). As nerdy as the PSB guys and also knowing his way around electronics to serve as an instrument for his extraordinairy musicianship. If you know about Jarle Bernhoft already i'm sorry and you can skip this.

Thanks again for introducing PSB, Bjoern !

Cheers,
Jan

Sorry, Jan, but you can chase me across the globe, off-planet and to hell and back with those solo artists, no matter how young, witty, beautiful or whatever they may be. At least two people or bust.

Bazzar, throw a B25 into your list if projects to do,lol All we ever hear is rumors someone is doing one! That Spitfire does look awesome too!

Hope This post is correct, as you can see, I have not done many, but I do follow all of what goes on here.

To grace the skies with any spitfire, especially a MK1, is to tempt the angels out to play.

Just a note...

I read somewhere the crowbar on the door panel did not appear until the MK5 and was retro fitted to the MK1 and 2 during the Battle of Britain.

If this not correct, I will go away and Hope you are not offended.

Love the pictures.

It is likely, though not certain, that we will also be doing the BoB Mk1A to go with the earlier version.:engel016:

More good news, but a definite buy for me either way. I was wondering though (on a scale of 'maybe' to 'get out of here') how likely it is that the Hurricane might get a facelift to keep it company in the 'other' sim? Just a thought :)
