AH Freeware Hurricane Pack

Blackbird686

SOH-CM-2025
At some point, didn't the Aeroplane Heaven folks release an impressive freeware Hawker Hurricane Package for FS9? I believe the package also included a captured German variant fitted with a DB603 engine that was a real hot rod.

Does anyone know if this package is still available?

Thanks -- BB686:USA-flag:

Blackbird,
I hope you find what you need.
I remember some bugs with that Hurricane, but also some additional files with exhaust effects and shine.
the file was named:JX_AH_HawkerHurricaneMkIa_(RGB02_SpecPower10_VC)
The readme of the shining model said you had to correct the viewpoint, in the aircraft.cfg, and my notes tell me you had to correct the c.g as well, (X value of 0.0)
The viewpoint appearantly had to be:

[Views]
eyepoint=-2.4,0.0, 3.0

Good luck.

Wasn't captured, was an export one manufactured in Yugosalvia
and fitted with a DB601 engine....

In 1939, production of 100 Hurricanes was initiated in Yugoslavia by Zmaj and Rogozarski. Of these, 20 were built by Zmaj by April 1941. One of these was fitted with a DB 601 and test flown in 1941

Thanks for the correction. I know little about the the actual aircraft, just that I remember flying the AH version in FS9 and that Daimler-Benz engine brought out some hidden potential within the Hurricane airframe, specifically, better performance. Thought that the AH version was fictional and didn't represent any real aircraft in history.:faint:

Thanks for the link Ferry :woot:
Thanks as well, Flip Zijdemans, for the info on the additional files. I will have a look at them as well.

The AH one was the Schmitfire, A Spitfire with the DB 601. It actually was flown, but was a one off.

Will someone check that link, please? When I try it I get another link to the AH site, and although the 109 and Seafire are there, the Hurricane isn't.

Right you are, the Hurricane hasen't been on the Heavenly Hanger's site for a while now, don't know why.:kilroy:

I do believe that it's at Simviation, Flightsim, and maybe a few others

Highly recommended: Hawkinge by Gary Burns AKA Gary20. This addon is mentioned in the readme of the Hurricane pack but was not included. Here on the OH!
