Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Aircraft Packaging Utility for re-distribution ?

Does anybody know of a utility that can Package a CFS2 Aircraft completely for redistribution.
Including non-stock gauge files, effects files, object dp files, object bgl & texture files ?

But if any user is going to package an object (whether a plane or anything else for CFS2) for re-distribution, then that user needs to obtain the permission of the copyright holder of the object before they can re-distribute that object . . .

I agree. The re-distributor has the responsibility of making sure that whatever is re-distributed complies with all copyright restrictions/prerequisites regardless of the method used to do the packaging.
The question is : Do you guys want his utility or not ?

Rohan you have never posted anything. So of course you couldn't care less about a utility like this. Do I need to warn you about rude behaviour? You are borderline here.

Ring Ting Ting, I for one could use a tool like this.

Still borderline. You know the guiding message here is "Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right!" You may be right but you are not being helpful.

If you want to take this further you can message me.

I for one have dabbled a lot with various aspects of this game, and I have a good idea of how much time goes into
something like building an aircraft. No wonder the effort usually involves a team of people.
I don't have the time to tackle projects like that, but I like coding, and it is not as time consuming as building
stuff for the game.
In return for all the effort you guys put into your projects, for all of us to enjoy, I try to identify little things I
think could be useful, and write utilities to help speed up things for the creators out there.

That being said : RTT Plane Packager coming to your screens soon then.

Preliminary version done . . .
I don't have a massive collection of aircraft to test this utility with, so if you are an avid plane builder,
and want to take the first version for a test drive and report back , let me know and I will send it to you.

RTT
