Airport weather vanes not working in SE

I really enjoy my FSX-SE, but one detail is eluding my tinkering: The airport wind direction vanes, particularly the large "pyramids" that point into the wind, don't work at the airports that have them. Is this something that a config. file tweak could fix? I do mostly low and slow flying at airports with unmanned towers, so knowing the wind direction is crucial. Any suggestions?

There is the possibility that these objects are static objects and lack the coding and animation to indicate wind direction.

Thanks for that response. You are likely right about that. One payware airport that I have, Twentynine Palms KPLN, has so many animations that I thought it might include this one.
