Antonov An-12's twin sister: the An-10

Hi there,

Those who are interested in adding the An-10 in their hangar: Samdim's old aircraft is still around at www.avsim.ru. Although designed for FS2002 it does function in FS2004 too, so I found out today.
Contrary to the AN-12, the passenger aircraft An-10 didn't enjoy a long career. Structural failures forced Aeroflot to withdraw in the 1970s all surviving An-10's.
When at the homepage of avsim.ru, click on Файлы. You'll find a search page. Then fill in An-10 in the second field from the top and enter. Then all the An-10 related downloads (and more) appear. It will take a couple of pages before you'll find the aircraft and some repaints.

Cheers,
Maarten

Interesting. I've been using an older An-12 model in Aeroflot paint as an AI to populate Russian airports. Never heard of the An-10 until now.

Not many built there where some probs with the An10 design IIRC, so they stopped production.

This is a left over from before the last crash that has not been removed or fixed. Honestly probably not worth the trouble either.

Each post has a specific number since the crash we started over at the beginning of the numbering system (may start with 0 or 1 I don't know).

Anyway the edited infomation is still in the database. So when someone makes a post if that number was edited in the past that message is displayed in the post.

My guess is that to fix this requires blowing out the whole database which would require we all register again and start from the beginning of SOH time. Of course that is just a guess but who of us wants to do that to fix that problem.

Hi Willy,

CalClassic has an AI version of this An-10 in AI File Three. So now you can use both types alongside each other.

Cheers,
Maarten
