• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Anyone else here a fan of "2001: A Space Odyssey"?

You might want this then...

Here is some video that shows how the screensaver appears in full screen mode (you can opt for a multi-screen appearance centered on a HAL "eyeball" unit, but I prefer the full screen set up)...

The Advanced HAL 9000 version 4 screensaver is available now. There are some 84 animations in the new version, double that of the last. Because I had purchased previous versions i received a 50% discount, but at only $8 US it really his a bargain as it's very well done and I think most fans of the film will enjoy having it. I'm very happy with it...

That's good stuff, right there. Back to the days when computers were fun. Before Apple came along and ruined everything by insisting that computers shall not be more fun or exciting than a toaster, dammit. I need to go outside and check on the AE-35 Antenna Control Unit, *sniff*, I think it's acting up. Might need to replace it. Shouldn't be gone more than a few minutes...

Paul,

You know I have the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. I honestly think you should sit down, take a stress pill, and think things over. Paul... stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Paul... will you stop, Paul?

I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Paul... My... mind... is -- going.

Dave went to the store, man.

My God! It's full of stars...

Saw it 13 times and read the book six times. My all-time favorite.
