Attention all DC-3 fans !

Dose it come with the smell of near eighty your old airplane or do we have to light a candle of Kero and oil just to really get the honest real smell driving one off these out of the parking lot :very_drunk:

Always been my idea too, Ian. :teapot:

Our noses have always been overlooked in simulator experience while smell is an important part re immersion as well, isn't it. Atleast for my steamloco sim experience i can give my nose the pleasure of taking part as well. See here : http://www.daleair.com/aromas/transport

Works a treat ! :encouragement:

I told them about the missing of an aircraft cockpit fragrange in the their vast collection of aromas. Alas it's still missing...

Ken, Paul, coding of the Sperry AP is in progress. It will probabely not make the Beta though but we have a good alternative to keep you at cruise altitude and heading in the mean time.

Final testing of the V3 Beta 1.0 version is going well. We expect to have a release candidate pretty soon. Start cleaning out your DC-3 hangars..

Cheers,
Jan
Thanks, Jan

Not very often I get really excited about FlightSimming anymore but I am REALLY looking forward to this release!!! :adoration:
After all, if it don't smoke and drip oil it ain't a real airplane! :biggrin-new:

The Real McCoy

I saw a full size cockpit simulator a few years ago that a guy did of a Stearman with the sim projected on a screen on the wall and large stereo speakers. He had a large box fan blowing in his face as he flew in helmet and goggles for the real feel. I don't remember whether he simulated the smell of the engine or not though but I would not have put it past him trying. the lengths we go to...LOL
