This is a collection of repaints for the A6M2 Zero made by Acwai for CFS 2. They depict aircraft used by the first 4 carriers of the Kido Butai.

The textures are:

AI-102 Based on HMJS Akagi, December 7th 1941. Pilot was Lt Saburo Shindo.

AII-106 Based on HMJS Kaga, but operating ashore at Kisarazu, Japan whilst her parent ship was undergoing repairs at Sasebo.

BI-151 Based on HMJS Soryu...

This is a collection of repaints for the A6M2 Zero made by Acwai for CFS 2. They depict aircraft used by the "junior" carriers of the Kido Butai, Shokaku & Zuikaku.

The textures are:

EI-127 Based on HMJS Shokaku, May 1942. Pilot was P01c Yukuo Hanzawa.

EI-111 Based on HMJS Shokaku, October 1942. Pilot was Lt. Hideki Shingo.

EII-102 Based on HMJS Zuikaku, April 1942. Pilot was P01c Tetsuzo...

Thank you for this nice skinpack as well UncleTgt, it's a nice touch to have some skins from before/after the yellow leading edge IFF stripes order. Also the EI-111 is really interesting, from what I read Hideki Shingo was the fighter squadron leader of Shokaku, I guess the yellow spinner is for identification purpose. That's really nice, thank you again UncleTgt :applause:

By the time of Santa Cruz, both Zuikaku & Shokaku were carrying mainly A6M3 type 22's, but a few A6M2 type 21's still remained...

I struggled to find photos that confirm that Shingo was still flying the "old" type 21 by this time, but an Eduard profile showed it as such. I suspect it might be based on the common photo of EI-111 landing aboard Shokaku during Coral Sea, but I went with it anyway, as it's something different looking for the carrier-based A6M2 post-Midway...
