• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

cannot take screen shots in full screen mode?

Hi all,
I have developed a problem with taking screenshots.I have to go to windows mode to take one.If I try in full screen mode I just get a black screen.I have tried various screen shot programs all with the same result.
I am using 32bit Vista Ultimate and an 8800GTX graphics card.

Any ideas.

Hi, that happended to me too with my 8800GTS. It did work before so I think it is caused by the new videocard drivers.
 
Same thing happened to me when I ran the latest Nvidia drivers on my 7800 GS. I also had some games that gave me a d3d error and I couldnt run them anymore. Once I reverted back to the previous driver, everfything worked fine as before.
 
Did you try using Ctlr+ Prt Scrn ? Then use Microsoft Paint, open paste, then save as a JPEG. It seems that this works every time, well at least for me.

I have tried Grabclipsave which had always worked for me and Snapshooter 2007 and Screenshot Capture all with the same result.
