can't fill the screen on my monitor

Flight Sim Junkie
I noticed something tonight while playing around with Beam Eye tracker. I had MSFS on one screen in front of me with a triple screen setup. I could not get MSFS to completely fill the one monitor. An empty space was left where the windows taskbar resides. It didn't matter if I hid the task bar or not. If I hid the taskbar, then I would see my desktop where the task bar would be when not hidden. I'm usually in VR so hadn't noticed this before. It's kind of annoying for it not to fill the entire screen in the center. If I go full screen in MSFS then it spans across all three screens While this seemed nice at first the view on the two side monitors was all stretched out and distorted. I'd rather just fill the one screen in the middle. Is this normal windows stuff I'm running into?

Thanks,
LouP

That is strange indeed. If you have the sim set to full screen, then that shouldn't happen. Or is it set in windowed mode? If so, you should be able to click on the full screen button in the menu bar.

If that doesn't help, check your settings of Beam Eye tracker. Can't help you with that though, as I don't have that particular program.

Hi Priller,

Thanks, but if I go to full screen it spans across all three monitors. I was hoping to get it to fill just the middle monitor in front of me. I do have nVidia surround activated and am filling what I can by dragging the msfs window to the top of the middle monitor. It just doesn't fill the gap where the task bar would be. This may be normal behavior, but I usually don't have to deal with it because I'm in VR. I also noticed that the same thing happens with other programs so I am suspecting it may be a normal Windows or nVidia behavior.

OK, figured out a trick, If I stretch the window so that some of it is on the left and right monitor, I can then stretch the whole window so it covers the spot where the task bar would be.
