Is it native 2024? The native 2024 Carenado's I have (F33A, CT210N, B55, C182Q) allow a copilot to show in the cockpit if you've selected
one of the available copilots in the customization screen.

I cannot wait! I've been thrilled since Carenado shared the first images. Straight-tail 172's are so cool.

I've been in-love with Pat Harker's beautifully-restored example:

It's released! Just had time to grab it and do a quick flight at lunch. Can't believe I bought ANOTHER Cessna, but I'm a sucker for mid-century aircraft and will take this one over the G1000 172 in a heartbeat.

Awesome combo! Fully retro 50's cockpit before they realized making all the knobs and pullies look the same was a bad idea, but also support for a GTN650 and modern autopilot. Looks really good, and the texturing on the aluminum is awesome.

I’ve seen a couple of comments that it seems wildly overpowered. Is this the case? If so I might hold out in the hope that it gets update or released on the Carenado website so I can have a play with the config files

Not sure about overpowered. Remember, this C172 weighs about 150 pounds less than a modern C172 while still having a 145hp engine. Feels right to me. Certainly no Rheims Rocket! As for the Carenado website, they just now released some of their FS2020 planes on Simmarket, so I'd be surprised to see their native 2024 planes any time soon.

Per someone with time in an OG 172 on the official forum:
I’ll admit right away that I’m biased as this is a very similar model to a 172 I have a ton of time in, but this thing is pure joy for me. It looks nice. It sounds nice. It flies nice. It smells nice. I recommend it. It’s a little too wing-droppy in the stall and has a bit too much ground effect but generally flies like the lighter, earlier 172 it should.

Been enjoying the heck out of this one. If anybody's interested I've been watching a you tube channel called Cessna 42A about a guy flying a 1956 172 all over Virginia and Pennsylvania. He has a beautiful restored 172. Plenty of take-offs and landings and hits the scenery high points along the way.
