• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Cloud9 F4 Phantom activation

I’m thinking of buying the cloud9 phantom, but I want to know how it’s activated, does it use a special gauge or dll that recognises that you’ve purchased it?

reason I ask is I want to know if support or “activation “ is disabled by fsdt, I’ll still be able to enjoy it
 
The message on the FSDT Forum reads:

"There's no way to activate Cloud9 products right now, because they should have signed with a new ecommerce provider after Esellerate closed in 2019, but since the former Cloud9 owners have quit the flight sim business years ago, they surely haven't done that.

We have been trying to get hold of former Cloud9 owners, to ask permission to do something about, like automatically activating everything with no key, but haven't got any reply so far."

So no-go I'm afraid. To be honest though with all the enhancements that have been made for the Alpha Phantoms, especially Nigel Richards' soundsets, I haven't missed the Cloud9 F-4 overmuch.
