Anybody else playing this?

Got mine this week, and have tried it a bit. Not quite sure what I think of it...! So far it's quite buggy for me (PC version) with CTD's and losing sounds after a replay on several occasions. The 'controls not being saved' bug from DiRT3 is carried over to F1-2011 too, fortunately the solution's the same too..
The gameplay has improved in some parts, there's a lot less snap oversteer but rather a more gradual slide it seems. I still need more tweaking on the controls; the default settings feel like driving an eighteen-wheeler, but the settings from F1-2010 are way too sensitive. I thought I had it figured out after a test at Barcelona, but the same car was terribly oversteered at Silverstone.

The penalty system sucks once again like it did in the previous game: Make a bad start in the mid-field and you'll get an immediate warning for illegal blocking.. Needs patching again!

Both the KERS and DRS have been implemented in the game, meaning you'll have some more buttons to press during the race.
Just a quick test in the fast right-hander in Barcelona; trying to take it with the rear wing in the 'open' position:

May be buggy which is a huge shame and will stop me from even a consideration of buying it, but it looks fantastic.

I'm waiting.
After the shambles that was DiRT3 V.1 I remembered that I really don't like being a first buyer.
Rather hang out for rFactor 2.

Reinstalled my entire computer last weekend and today I put F1-2011 back. Seems a few of the bugs I mentioned are now gone? Sounds work OK, steering is better and no more CTD's?

Well, I'm playing on 360 and am having a blast - as soon as I get my PC back, I'm buying it for pc as well. looks so much better on PC.

my first full season I was with Lotus and did darn well. Played on Medium difficulty. Won the mlast four races of the season. lol I find it's much more enjoyable with the Fanatec CSR Wheel and Pedals than a controller. lol

Like I did with F1-2010 I'm doing a short first season so I can hopefully secure a deal with a top three team to do a full race weekend season. I've started my career with Williams tonight (Short weekend, 20% race length, Fuel sim on, tyre sim off, medium AI), and barely won the first race in Melbourne. I had a good lead after my pitstop but some cars I was trying to lap held me up which cost me my lead.

2 questions
1. Is this sim a follow on or related in any way to great Geoff Crammond series for Microprose?
2. Is it customizable in much ther same fashion as GP4 was, i.e. moddable?

No relation to the Crammond series that I know of.
I imagine there will be the usual suspects who tweak this one but I can't see a lot of flexibility available.
Most (If not all) of the 'Racing Sims' released in the past few years seem to be aimed squarely at the bloody 'Console' market.
None appear to be 'friendly' to mods when compared to GTR/GTR Evo/rFactor etc, and using Dirt2 as an example, it seems that the only areas that were 'tweakable' were cosmetic.
I just keep hoping that rFactor 2 will continue along the user friendly path established by the original.
