Conceptual Beech Twin Delta-Wing

You know, one of the main issues with the Starship was the turboprops. The intense noise caused from the dual speeds of airflow coming into the prop disc caused a harmonic vibration or algorythym or something that created a high pitched scream from the blades.

Why not refit the birds with small turbines? Propless.... (I know Willy, I know). But the birds would have been much quieter then and you wouldnt have had to deal with the prop issues....

I always wondered that..

A Dyke Delta?
Political Incorrectness indeed!!!!

Well, when I'm working on cabling, can I ask for a pair of Dyke side cutters?

A jet powered Starship. That would really be sweeeet!

When I think of the Starship, I often wonder how successful it would've been had Beech applied the changes Rutan wanted to make. If they'd taken the time to do the airplane Rutan wanted, would it have been a success?

The Avanti took a long time to make it's way, but in today's economy, (and focus on fuel efficiency) there is something like a 180 airplane backlog at the factory. Makes you wonder....

Hey Brian,

Nice work on it so far. Why dont you finish it?

Bill

I'm so far behind the curve when it comes to Aircraft design it isn't funny. I'm not even up to current FS9 standards let alone FSX. And I've lost quite a bit of the interest I used to have in Aircraft design.

I burned myself out a couple of years ago cranking out six airplanes in four months working for Abacus keeping food on the table when I was out of work... I've only done one wholly from scratch plane since then (Stinson 108) The rest were rebuilds of older planes I had already made as freeware (Super Pacer) and an abacus rebuild (Airvan)

I haven't even fired up FSDS in nearly six months.

I Also have a partially done King Air C-90 and Challenger 604. If anyone want's to take em on.. let me know.

Man, Im sorry to hear that Brian.

Yep, have to pace yourself or you will get burned out. Happens with me. Luckily I do alot of 'all' of it, so I can get into graphics if I am burning out on polygons, or get into sounds when the airfiles arent behaving.. Just wish I was making them much faster.

That C90 cabin looks great. The geometry looks right on. Nice work around the windows. I moved over to Gmax just for the window cutting. Glad I did.. It has a ton of tools in there.
