right now all i have is a saitek cyborg on my low-end pc. i have been considering a yoke and pedals. before i buy, i am wondering if there would be an impact on frame rates or performance in the sim by stepping up to the new controllers?

If you are not scared to tweak you system (XP), you can find a lot of tweaks at the MSFSX site also there is a utility called Alacrity, I use this and it work great, user friendly,
here is the link http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/index.htm, also tweak you FSX cfg file, these things together will make all the difference, I use a Saitek X45.:cost1:

i admit i have been foot dragging on making cfg tweaks. however, per the advice of someone here many months ago, i leanrned i can no longer live without alacrity pc. that program is downright awesome! we use it for fsx, fs9, and warhammer (my stepson plays it). i need to get brave and do some tweaking. so, do i understand correctly that there will be a performance impact with a yoke and pedals?
