Hey Guys I was wondering if someone can tell me how to alter this beam effect instead of having it go towards the sky and downwards to the ground I would just like to have it point towards earth and emitt beam from under craft would there be away of doing this I have a pic thanks:friday:

An "alien abduction effect?":costumes: Great idea!:applause:

Sounds like what you could use is the old Effects SDK. MS still has all of the FS9 SDK's on their servers, and that one happens to be here.

Install the SDK, read all the information included, then repeatedly bang head against monitor until it all becomes clear, or bloody, whichever happens first.....

Seriously tho, I could never make heads or tails of the effects SDK, I'm not that technically minded I guess.

That's the effect that puts the beam on the Luxor Hotel on the Vegas Strip. I just got done trying a few ideas, and had no luck. Hopefully one of the effects gurus will see this and be able to help.

I took another look at the SDK, and it seems the emitter needs to be modified so that it only emits in a downward direction. Then maybe you could use the effect like you want. Still trying to figure out how to do it tho...
