Love flying over Tambora (biggest volcanic eruption in recorded history.) It’s nicely depicted in FSX. I just wish the textures (or is it the landclass?) didn’t make it look like there people living down there cultivating farm fields! Love these Alphasim 50s and 60s era jets too! This F-3H Demon is just too much fun!

That should be recent human history, rather than recorded.

AFAIK
Biggest confirmed single eruption in -
- Recent geological history was the Oruanui eruption of New Zealand's Taupo volcano.
- Since the Ordovician was the La Garita Caldera in southwestern Colorado, USA.

FSX mesh is superb for viewing both volcano & metiorite impact craters.

Yep, you're correct. And Santorini was bigger than Tambora too.
 
Guys, guys... remember, it's not the size of the eruption that counts. It's how many poor :censored: were farming the caldera when it went off. :costumes:
