here it is, low vis fga9 with the little painted front edge of the wings and intakes , the gun ports really looks the part! added metal shine to the nozzle, i couldn't enhance the sabrinas as i'd like, nor the airbrake for the same reason. Any way, i guess now is the time to stop and release.

i really want to thank martin who kindly provided me some good pictures, the nose emblem, the stencils are taken directly from their hunter, like the hood jetison handle wich is the real one untouched except for a bit of perspective correction.
i had some choices to make as the model aint exactly the same. WV256 is a former ga11 with tail hook and no guns brought back to an f4 paint scheme. The problem is that this modeled GA 11 has the marshall lamp on the beak and a F6 nozzle section, the other is that the f4 model has the good nose and exhaust sections but has the guns and no tail hook.... so as the texture remains the same... (got it??? :) ) you'll pick up the one you want.

cheers!

Hello!

Just wondering if you finished these lovely Hunter repaints - they look absolutely delightful.

Hope you're well, NB!

This project had so much promise ... shame it / the author disappeared.

That said, am posting to ask if anyone is aware of a Royal Navy T.8 or T.8M in late (so all-round ESDG / dark grey, not ESDG with white undersides) repaint scheme?

There's an included T.8M in the early (ESDG+white undersides), and the Navy single seat pack has all-round ESDG GA-11 and FRADU schemes. But looking for the trainer in all-round Royal Navy dark, as per below:

XL310 or XF358 T.8 Mk C is the ideal, but the radar T.8M trainer would suffice ...

It's not good when a thread just evaporates like this. I pray too that NB is well and nothing serious happened to him.

Dave Garwood Hawker Hunter

Are all of these FS9 from 2004 by DG Designs? That is all I was able to find at AVSIM.

Are all of these FS9 from 2004 by DG Designs? That is all I was able to find at AVSIM.

It being in the FSX thread, I assume he was modding Garwood’s FSX Hunter. It truly is a timeless masterpiece. It looks and performs in P3D now as good as it ever did in FSX. There’s three packs available-RAF single seaters, RN FAA single seaters, and the two-holers from both UK air arms. And since, many repaints have been done. Later period RN FAA schemes don’t seem to tickle too many people’s interest, so no surprise an all ESDG two-holer wasn’t done.

Let me know if you need help finding the FSX packs. They’re in my top 10 favourite FSX freeware, if not top 5. Don’t let the fact they’re over a decade old put you off-they’re gorgeous, and very accurate. And with distinctive wing shapes, a range of model variations, it can’t be overstated how dramatically accurate these are - either by freeware standards, or even payware .

Links Please

I only found the FS9 versions so yes please send me the links. I guess all these repaints never saw light unfortunately ??? As I was going to sleep last night thinking about this I remember a long time ago I made a pastic model of the single seat Hawker Hunter, I think it was an Airfix 1/72 model. I was pretty good at airbrushing even as a kid and did a credible job of it. Hung it from the ceiling in my room with a few other models.

a bit of colorymetry work and hi speed silver will be in the box!

cheers!

Don't make that particular one too shiny, as a T7B with Buccaneer IFIS instrument fit, it had been dragged out of storage and sent to Laarbruch so that Buccaneer pilots could keep up their air time while Buccaneers were grounded following the Buccaneers grounding due to the spar failure over Nellis ranges in 1981

NB’s work never materialized, as far as I know.

CBFS is a great resource, and where i recall the Hunter files being hosted.

Only Found Hunter Photos

Hi I went out to the link and only found photos. Then I opened up all the aircraft and there are some zip boxes but no ID to them. After some examination I figured the logic out and am downloading the single seat and the twin seat Hunters and the paintkits, extras etc. Thank you.

hi there, no, don't worry nothing bad happened, just moving on. Lost my fsx hdd was part of the lot, but still have the remade paintkit ready to kick A....SS. if anyone still flying that great bird i'll check if i have any saved liveries left from the crash.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the PM with the same news. Hope you can find any liveries saved. I lost some really great airport a couple years ago before I could archive them same way...HDD crash. Tried to salvage but no such luck and had to replace it.

I can redo any liverie i already made from the paint kit i still have, but to be honest i moved on to dcs now and quite busy there. So my best move would be to send the paintkit to anyone willing, or publish it here. The problem is that its a huge work psd file, with plenty of effect layers, not a "public" DIY paintkit, so it will only be usable by someone with photochop installed and patience to find his way in all this mess.

Much appreciated NB!

This model still being as good as it is in both FSX and P3D, gets lots of air time with some of us, so we're grateful for anything you've done for it.

Thanks,

dl
