Ready to fly soon!

I was going to fly out a couple of days ago and discovered I'd completely forgotten how to fly…at least I thought.....crashing everything in sight! :(
I finally figured out that the problem was the CH Yoke. There was a bad (dirty) potentiometer on the X axis that would drift without any input what-so-ever.
a shot from the dust remover sprayer di the trick!

After a refresher course using the ole E6-B and doing a few calculations on a test flight from AGGT to AGGA we’re getting up to speed figuratively speaking of course… .

We’ll start out flying low and slow and try to get the hang of FS again. J

Aircraft: USACC/ LR /1940 C-47
Fuel = 1604 (Long Range tanks 800 gal additional fuel)

Test flight results
AGGT = MagV -9.9 deg
AGGA = MagV - 9.5 deg
Distance = 166
Av GS = 160
Time = 62 1:02
Heading = 311 TH=301
Wind 097/15
WCA = 3 = 314

Thanks Austin.

Sorry to be a pain, but want to do things properly.

Still getting some cobwebs out, rereading the rules, making sure we're flying legal, and making sure how to use and post the results in Duenna.:dizzy:

Douglas C-47 LR 1940
Class 1. Below 250 KTAS

Instead of testing using the GPS I did a test flight using duenna at full throttle and 1000' which should shows the GS on least one line.
I actually had to go back to figure out where the Duenna files were located as well!:confused:

Here are the results.

16/08/2015 20:18:43; -10.462756; 162.139908; 1012; 97; 190; 189; 0

My guess is that this C-47 is legal to flying troops/pilots/ATCers for RR and reassignments.

No use of the sextant this time.....pilotage and homers only IC. :eagerness:

Landed at AGGA

Nothing but scud and lightening storms. We'll lay low and hope for better weather tomorrow.

Landed safely at AGGV

The challenge, if there is one in this C-47 model is to set the tail wheel down very gently with full fuel.

Whoops, I skipped a AGGF and landed at AGGV.:banghead:

We now need to back track to Marringe AGGF land and loose valuable time we don't have in this plane.
