directions please concerning FSX reactivation

Hi,

As a new member I seek directions please.

Where do I find an FAQ for FSX problems etc?.

My FSX decided to crash, so I tried a 'repair' off the DVDs (I have the deluxe version & SP1).

During the 'repair' attempt I received an error message:-
"error 1722". This came up during the 2nd DVD stage.
(A program run as part of the setup didn't finish....)

The process then began a 'rollback', & during that stage another message came up:-
"error 1603" (Fatal error during install......Feature transfer error....).

After three attempts I contacted MS, ended up being transferred overseas to someone I couldn't understand, & was told they would not activate it.

Since then I have 'manually' removed FSX (some folders/files remain, & I have a backup on another HD of the sessions etc).

I was hoping to be able to re-activate FSX without the need to completely uninstall it (which it couldn't do for the above reasons?).

Any help most appreciated.

regards,

Noel B. :wavey:
