Donation ware panel problems

I installed the B-17 and P-51 and fired up the flight sim and found that some gauges are missing. Reinstalled the planes and some of the gauges in the B-17 showed up. Any help would be appreciated.

Re-extract the files...this time to an empty folder and not into the sim. Once extracted, manually copy and paste the gauge files into the FS2004 GAUGE folder. That is what I had to do with these planes in CFS2.

OBIO,

Thanks for the tips, tried it and the same gauges are missing. Even have the P-51 B and the same gauges in the panel are missed up to.

Both planes utilise some of the stock gauges, have you moved the *.cab files from the default planes panel folders into the gauge folder? The one missing from the stang is a CFS2 Wildcat gauge, should already be in your gauge folder, the top right is an FDG P47 gauge, which should be included in the package. If not might be in the xmas pressie P47 Malcolm hood?

Not sure what the missing gauge from the B17 is yet, the VC gauges aren't arranged the same in Panel Studio.

PS. Have you ran a gauge cleaning util, it might have removed the old CFS2 gauges as they are not used in the default planes IIRC. If so they will be on the disc somewhere ready for you to pull from a cab file.

Moved the gauges from the panel of the airplanes into the default location and it brought the missing gauge for the b-17 up, flaps and landing gear indicator. The P-51 gauge is still missed up.

airtj,

the missing gauge top left in the stang is a stock CFS2 gauge,Hellcat, not Wildcat as stated above. Look for f6f3_hellcat.gau in your gauges folder, if it's not there you can pull it off the FS9 discs, it'll be in one of the cab files somewhere, sorry, don't know which disc or which cab file.

The missing gauge middle right is FDG_P47_suction.gau, again, should be in your gauges folder.

Was this the Christmas pressie stang? I just installed it to a dummy folder and both of the above gauges are included and installed correctly. Try creating a dummy folder somewhere, name it Flight Simulator 9, copy and paste in the fs9.exe file and try installing it to there. You could then drag the required files to where they should be.

hope it works out, and glad the Fort worked,
Jamie

Jamie,

Thanks for the tips. The P-51 was the christmas gift. I've tried installing the P-51 to a different folder and copied all the files and still get the missing gauge in the 2d panel. Even tried to copy the missing gauge in your post off a cd that I have cfs gauges on, still no luck. I'll keep plugging away at this.

Still haven't found the gauge that isn't showing up in the 2d panel. (above the flap and gear indicator) Slashed all the gauges out in the panel.cfg and the same gauge is still on the panel. I have no idea if that gauge is painted in on the back ground or not. Thanks to all those that offered advice.

There isn't actually a gauge there, it's just a part of the panel bmp, sorry.

Jamie

PS. glad the other two showed.
